Top O' the morning to ya! We're doing our annual St. Paddy's Day $20 tattoo & 1/2 price piercing event on March 17th. Save the date!
If you've been to Crown Electric for our tattoo & piercing events before, you'll already know what to expect. If you're new to our shop here's what you can count on. BE PREPARED FOR A CROWD!
Sorry, we know this description is a little wordy but we want to be sure everyone is on the same page with how this works, especially if this is your first time.
We always have a blast on event days but wait times can get pretty long. There are NO APPTS on event days. We don't take deposits online. It's first come, first tattooed. During the event we will not be answering the phones. Ask your questions before hand via comment and we will answer every single one of you.
This event is 18 and over ** no exceptions**
Any other day we are a family friendly shop. Event days are different. It is too stressful for your artists to be expected to tattoo through crying babies. It's just not fair to them or the person in their chair. It's too hard for small children to wait patiently and sit still. The shop will be full and it's just too much to have littles running around the shop. Older kids may be able to sit still BUT our seating is meant for paying clients and it's not fair to have seating taken up. We hate to be dicks about this point and we hope you all understand. NO KIDS ALLOWED ON EVENT DAYS.
We open the doors at 10am and we tattoo & pierce all day and all night until 2am.
This is a 1 day event. It ends at 2am which technically means it ends on the 18th but we will not still be doing this on Sunday morning.
There is usually a line of people who come early to be firsts in line. There is no best time to tell you to come in. We have walk ins throughout the entire event. Usually the ones who came early get in and out within an hour or so (depending how many are in line before you). From there the wait times will vary. Be patient. Have fun. No doubt you'll meet some awesome new friends while you're here. We have an amazing group of friends and clients who come to our events. <3
HERE'S HOW IT WORKS
1. SHOW UP, PICK A DESIGN from the pages we post for THIS event. IF YOU ARE GETTING A PIERCING ask for a piercing form too. Same rules.
(this is not a bring your own tattoo idea for $20 deal. We do only the images we draw and post. They will be at the front counter for you to see on event day and of course follow HERE to see new sheets posted ahead of time)
2. FILL OUT standard release form
3. PREPAY at the counter to hold your place in line.
4. REMEMBER THE # on the bottom of you form
(we go by a number system. We'll be updating THIS PAGE with what # we are on next, as often as possible, so you can see when your # is getting close. )
5. GET TATTOOED — LEAVE HAPPY. Listen for your #/name to be called and get your new bad-ass $20 tattoo for St. Paddy's Day!
* There will be a limit to how many tattoos you can get on event day. We don't know what that will be until we see all the designs the artists draw up. It may be limit of 1 and it may be limit of 2. I promise we will post the limit BEFORE event day*
*** we update the #'s we're on as a courtesy only. It is NOT up to us to post YOUR number. It is 100% up to YOU to be here, physically in the shop, when your # and name is called. We DO NOT REFUND for any reason if you miss your turn. We DO NOT put you back in line if you leave and miss your turn. We DO NOT REFUND if you have been waiting a long time and decide you have to leave.
Please do not sign in if you feel the wait time may be too long for you. This is A LOT like going to a haunted house during Halloween. You prepay and wait in that long line until it's your turn. They don't refund you if you leave. Only our LINE is a huge lobby full of cool people, seating, good music, and a good time.***
Now, that being said, it is ABSOLUTELY FINE if you sign in, pay, and leave. We understand not all of you want to wait here and may want to run an errand or go grab some food. That's fine AS LONG AS you are BACK HERE before we call you for your turn in the chair.
We have 6 tattooers here at Crown. VEGAS GREG, LEX TATS, WES, RYAN, LEE JACK, and PEEWEE.
We LOVE requests. If you have a favorite artist that you want to request, please just write his name on the BOTTOM of your form so we know who to put you with. Sometimes the wait for a certain artist may be longer than if you had not requested. If you don't have a specific artist you want don't write anything and we'll put you with the next avail artist in line.
* ALL ARTISTS will tattoo designs from each others sheets so don't worry about requesting just because a certain artist drew the page you like, unless you really only want that certain artist.
We have 2 piercers that will be working this event. Myself (Leyla) and Cher. There is NO LIMIT for how many piercings you can get on event day. We currently have a record of 9 piercings, for most piercing done on one person during at an event :)
Same rules apply for how to sign in for a piercing. You CAN sign in for BOTH tattoos and piercings. That's fine! There are different forms for the piercing line so be sure you ask for both if you want to get both. Sometimes the piercing line goes faster. You may find that you will have gotten your piercings and still be waiting for your tattoo. If you are getting tattooed when we call you for piercings, that's fine. don't panic, we will wait for you to finish the tattoo and you'll be next in the piercing room. Same thing applies for if you are in the piercing room when they call you for your tattoo. Don't worry. We will not skip you. We'll finish the piercings and you will still be next for tattoo. :)
PARKING: DO NOT PARK at 7-11 they will TOW YOU!
we have parking in front and rear of shop.
Please DO NOT park in front of the wedding chapel. They will ask you to move. Not worth the hassle of trying to find a new parking spot and them calling our cell phones stops us and we have to find the person who parked there. So don't.
Please DO NOT park in front of that little building that looks like a little house across from the wedding chapel in our back lot. That is actually a small business and they are DICKS! They complain every event about people parking there and they will FOR SURE have you move or TOW. not worth the hassle.
You can always park at the plaza across the street from us and walk over. OR you can park at the US BANK on the corner of GASS & CHARLESTON and walk over. It's a Saturday so the bank parking won't be taken up with their own business that day. IF all else fails there is always the SAVERS parking lot. Just walk over from there.
We're super excited about this event! We're always excited for event days! Some people ask if we get tired of the crowd and all of us will answer the same. EVENT DAYS are a BLAST! We always look forward to seeing all of our regulars and meeting new clients and friends for event days. <3
