FEATURING: DONALD GLAUDE, WB X MB, LOUD & KILLER, BGENIUS, MADAM FILTH & DANCETRONAUTS!
YAYFRIENDS! in association with CVLT Photo, MNDST Productions & ZEROdB Presents: Sound Check 2 — a silent rave aboard the Las Vegas Monorail. 50% of the proceeds from this event will be donated to the National Association of the Deaf (https://nad.org/)
The silent rave (provided by ZEROdB) will take place on the monorail train with the LVCVA vinyl wrap. In addition, this time around we will have 2 «stages» onboard the train with 2 djs playing simultaneously. You will be able to listen to either DJ anywhere on the whole train with the flip of a switch!
The silent rave portion of this event is ALL AGES. We will also be having an «afterparty» located on the north end of the monorail system at the SLS station on platform 2 called «End of the Line», which will be FOR PATRONS 21+ ONLY with valid ID. Admission to this party is $15 and includes 1 hour of open bar from 12:30-1:30a unless you paid for headphones. If you have donated for headphones and received a wristband, admission is only $10. ADMISSION, FREE PARKING & $1 LOCALS or $5 SINGLE RIDE MONORAIL PASSES
— We are asking a minimum $10 donation for headphone rental, but you are welcome to donate more to benefit the hearing impaired and to help create more events like this in the future. Your rental gets you a wristband that allows you to trade for headphones without donating more than once, and gets you into the afterparty for a discounted price. You will receive a different color wristband showing that you have paid to enter the afterparty. This wristband will get you on and off the platform to use the restroom at the SLS station, and will only work at the SLS station during the hours of End of the Line.
Discount Monorail tickets for Nevada locals can be purchased for $1 (Limit of 2 per person per day) at all Monorail customer service ticketing offices with a valid Nevada ID. Ticket offices are open from 10am to 6pm at the following station locations:
ADDITIONALLY, MONORAIL TICKET DESKS INSIDE MGM AND HARRAH’S ARE OPEN FROM 10AM TO 9PM.
In order to purchase $1 fares you must visit a Monorail customer service desk, otherwise you can purchase a single ride for $5 at any Monorail station.
MGM charges for parking, but you can park for free at SLS & Westgate. Flamingo, Harrah’s or the LINQ also offer free parking for locals for the first 24 hours. You can purchase a Monorail ticket at any of these stations and ride south to MGM Station for the event. WE RECOMMEND YOU PARK AT SLS SO YOU CAN ENJOY THE END OF THE LINE AFTERPARTY!
THERE IS NO NEED TO BUY A FULL FARE 24 HOUR PASS IF YOU DO NOT INTEND TO LEAVE THE MONORAIL PLATFORMS OR TRAINS. IF YOU EXIT THE FAREGATES TO USE THE RESTROOM YOU WILL NEED TO PURCHASE AN ADDITIONAL PASS OR AN UNLIMITED RIDE 24 HOUR PASS.
HOW DOES THIS SILENT RAVE THING WORK?
— You will trade your driver’s license for a pair of special wireless headphones that only work with our system. You will get a colored wristband showing you have donated for headphones. You will need to stay on the monorail train with the Las Vegas picture, but you can go in any of the 4 cars on that train and still hear the music. If you need to leave the platform to use the restroom, trade your headphones for your ID. The wristband will get you your headphones back (if available) without making a donation. Headphones are available on a first come first served basis.
The monorail takes a total of 30 minutes to travel from the MGM station to SLS and back. You may ride for as long as you want. If you miss the train, you can pick it up on the other side of the station on the way back. It will take no more than 30 minutes if you are at the ends, and 15 minutes if you are near the center of the monorail route.
