Grief can show up in our lives in response to more than the loss of a loved one; it can show up in response to community tragedy, loss of ability, and beyond. In this two hour workshop, we will dive into some of the common myths around grief and bereavement, what it should or shouldn't look like and that no two peoples' experiences will be the same. Along with the discussion, participants will be guided through a Yin yoga class. Yin yoga is a slow-paced class, with fewer postures, held longer passively with support from props. This workshop is open to anyone needing extra support and a safe space to help work toward healing and peace.
Classes are led and curated by Dr. Whitney Owens is a licensed psychologist and certified yoga instructor, Dr. Robyn Donaldson, licensed psychologist and founder of the Solace Club and Megan Hable, certified yoga instructor.
