A dinner event like no other, Feast of Friends 2: A Dinner Called Peace will gather some of Las Vegas' most acclaimed chefs and hottest culinary talents, along with four prized mixologists for a 'one night only' experience, never to be repeated.
For this one night, we have asked all of the chefs--who hail from a variety of backgrounds--to cook dishes that are from a culture other than their own. We're crossing borders.
Confirmed chefs include (in alphabetical order) Chef Johnny Church (Aureole), Justin Kingsley Hall (Sparrow & Wolf), Chef Brian Howard (Sparrow & Wolf), Hemant Kishore (Toddy Shop), Keris Kuwana (Yardbird), Michael van Staden (35 Steaks), Jamie Tran (The Black Sheep) and Khai Vu (District One/Le Pho).
Our mixologists: Lillian Hargrove (Delmonico Steakhouse), Kinson Lau (Maison Ferrand; Herbs & Rye/Sand Dollar), Gaston Martinez (Kimo Sabe mezcal) and Lilli Santiago (Marquee).
Surprise entertainment diversions are also planned.
WHEN: Tuesday Sept. 19. 6:30 PM reception, seating at 7 PM
WHERE: The Bunkhouse Saloon, Downtown Las Vegas
WHY: Because of their recent budget crisis, we have earmarked dinner proceeds to benefit The Shade Tree of Las Vegas, a shelter for women, children and pets that are victims of domestic abuse.
Depending on interest, we will also be holding a small live auction toward the end of the evening, with some very rare treats and opportunities available, all benefitting Shade Tree.
Please note, this will be an omnivore dinner. Please notify the organizers of any allergies or intolerances at least 7 days in advance. Although we will make an effort to accommodate, this is by and large a set menu event. 21+
Beverages will be provided with the gracious assistance of Gruppo Campari, Kimo Sabe mezcal, Winesellers Ltd. and others. Non-alcoholic beverages (incuding Harney Teas) will also be provided on request.
