FEAT of Southern Nevada is partnering with The ARC, McCarran International Airport, Allegiant Airlines, Autism Community Trust and the TSA to provide «Wings for Autism Las Vegas». Wings for Autism is an airport rehearsal program for families and individuals on the Autism Spectrum that may have a fear of flying or have had previous flying experiences that did not go well. Participants will go through these steps during this program:
1. Arrive and park at McCarran International Airport
2. Check-In and get boarding passes
3. Go through the security check point
4. Walk to the assigned gate
5. Line up to board the plane
6. Board the plane
7. Find your seat
8. Listen to flight attendant instructions
9. Meet the captains
10. Un-load the plane
11. Enjoy a «Wings for Autism» reception
We will have behavior experts on hand and volunteers to assist families throughout the entire experience. Each participant will receive a t-shirt and goodie bag!
We have two different sessions for families to choose from (max 4 people per family). We will be accepting a total of 325 participants. This is a first come, first serve event. Choose from a 10:30 start time OR a 11:30 start time.
