Beginngers! Let's face it. When you get to the trail, you want to start riding! We all do! But then, maybe there is a small voice in your head that wonders what you could be doing better… Or, what you might want to know to make riding more fun…
The best way to enjoy riding is to practice some basic skills off the trail. That is in a parking lot, in your drive way, in a dirt lot. It's the time to let yourself analyze balance and technique in relatively safe surroundings.
So, we're setting up a couple of skills/drill sessions in our parking lot behind our shop. Bring your bike (and helmet, gloves, water, etc.) and we'll go over some simple, yet essential skills that will make your time on the trail way more fun than just fumbling through!
This is a beginner level skills session (suitable for total newbies, also) focused on practicing fundamentals that are essential for good bike handling — including body position, bike body separation and braking. Additional skills may be discussed as appropriate for the group, however the goal of the session is to drill and develop good fundamental muscle memory so we don't have to think about it so much on the trail.
Lifan is IMBA ICP certified and will guide you in the fundamentals of mountaing biking that help you start gaining confidence on the trail.
